  11. OVERVIEW
  12. --------

  14. DeskTop Dropper will allow you to load any NEWDESK.INF file into the
  15. root of your boot directory, and then reboot.
  16.  
  17. I use it to switch from ST HIGH to TT MEDIUM resolution with my 
  18. multi-sync monitor and my TT030.  Just grab the INF file for STHIGH
  19. and drop it on DSKDRP12.PRG and that's about it.

  21. INSTALLATION
  22. ------------

  24. I've tried to make this program as flexible as possible regarding hard
  25. drive paths and directories.  Please let me know if you run into
  26. problems.

  28. 1.  Place DSKDRP12.PRG on the root of your boot drive/partition.
  29.  
  30. 2.  Drag a copy from the root of your boot drive to the desktop.
  31.  
  32. 3.  Select the DSKDRP12.PRG icon, go to the 'OPTIONS' menu and 
  33.     select 'Install Application'.  For file type enter "INF", 
  34.     for the Default Directory click on the 'APPLICATION' button, 
  35.     and for the Parameter click on the 'FULL PATH' button.  Now
  36.     click on the 'INSTALL' button, and save your desktop.

  38. 4.  In each of the resolutions you make use of, save the desktop, and
  39.     then rename and move the NEWDESK.INF file where ever you want them.
  40.     I put them all in C:\DESKTOPS, and have STHIGH.INF and TTMED.INF
  41.     in there.  I also have my desktops saved with a small C:\DESKTOPS
  42.     window open in one corner of my desktop.

  44. HOW TO USE IT
  45. -------------

  47. Simply drag the NEWDESK.INF file (or whatever you've renamed it as)
  48. to the DSKDRP12.PRG icon on your desktop.  DeskTop Dropper will delete
  49. the old NEWDESK.INF file on the root of your boot drive, and copy the
  50. new file as NEWDESK.INF in its place.
  51.  
  52. It doesn't matter if the file you drag is named STHIGH.INF, DeskTop 
  53. Dropper will copy it to the root of your boot drive as 'NEWDESK.INF'.
  54.  
  55. You will then be prompted as to whether or not you want to reboot or not.
  56. Click on 'NO!' if you don't want to reboot.  Click on 'Ok' if you want
  57. to reboot.  The default is 'NO!'.

  62. Please do let me know if you encounter any bugs in this program.  I've 
  63. done my best to trouble-shoot it, and am using it every day, but I use
  64. it the way I want it to work - so bugs may not show up for me.
